21. What does your mom like most about your dad? Playing with daddy (then she got on to him for not wearing his seat belt)

22. Where is your mom's favorite place to go? To Wal Mart

My almost bad day turned good and then bad again.

I went to pick lunch up at Sonic for everyone in the office. When I pulled up to work, I realized that my cheesy tator tots weren't in the bag. Instead of heading right back to the irresponsible fast food chain, I took everyone else's food inside so it wouldn't be cold for them. When I got back to my car, I realized that the doors were locked and there staring at me in the passenger seat were my purse, phone, debit card, receipt, and KEYS!! UGH! So I ran back in and called Sonic. The girl on the phone said they knew they left the tots out and to either come retrieve them or talk to the manager about replacing the whole meal on my next visit. I asked our receptionist if she would mind going to get my tator tots for me because I was starving. As she was pulling out of the parking lot, I saw a van sitting there. This van was so beautiful to me. It even had a glow! No, the van wasn't bright yellow and it wasn't actually that beautiful but it was a locksmith's van!!! We were having our locks changed because of an employee being terminated! I got his attention and asked if he would mind breaking into my car for me. He seemed happy to do it and even said he wouldn't charge me anything at all!!! It took him a mere 2.23857 seconds and my doors were open! I was so happy! What great timing huh?

Oh, and about my cheesy tator tots. When my co worker got there to pick them up, they wouldn't give them to her! They said she had to have the receipt. The girl on the phone never told me that. I called the manager and told him that I wasn't ever told about bringing the receipt. (which I couldn't have done anyway because it was locked in my car when she left.) He said that it was their policy and that the girl I spoke with was trying to tell me to bring it in when I hung up. Uh huh, sure. I told him that I wasn't coming back up there and that he could just replace my whole entire meal the next time I came in. He said that was fine as long as I had my receipt. I then proceeded to tell him how stupid that was because he could have just replaced a tator tot with cheese and now he has to replace a whole meal which is costing the company more money! What sense does that make? So now I'm sitting here starving. lol. Stupid Sonic.

Goulash

I've seen these sorts of things on other blogs before and thought it was a great idea to update. Goulash was a meal that we made as a kid that had whatever was in the pantry all mixed in. I'm not sure if there's actually a recipe for this. This post will be about everything so I thought it was fitting to name it "Goulash".

*We only have 8 more days until we close on the house.
*We start moving in on Friday the 20th
*My mom is also buying a house and should be closing today or tomorrow.
*Carlie started soccer again. She is on the same team as she was last season. She has practice on Mondays and games on Saturdays. She is VERY good, to my surprise.
*In my opinion (as her mommy), she is one of the best on the team. A new little boy is on the team this season. He arrived to the game 15 minutes in. He hasn't been to any of the practices but he is good. Not just good, but really really good. The child is only 6 but could probably play with 12 year olds. Carlie made 4 goals and Irwin made 6. This is a big change from last season. There was about 1 goal made per game last season and they were almost all made by Carlie. I think we are in for a really good season!
*I had to pick Jacelyn up from school early Friday because of a fever. She has 101.5 under hear arm. We got home about 45 minutes after they took it. I checked it and it was 102.2 (103.2). About 45 minutes after that (and some tylenol) I took it again and it was 102.7 (103.7). We went and picked Carlie up and I took it again about an hour later and it was 99 (100). She started getting hot again before bed so I gave her some Motrin. She woke up Saturday morning and was just fine! I guess she just had a fever virus.
*My ankle is killing me and I seriously think if I go to the doc they'll make me have another surgery.
*Carlie is having a fundraiser selling cookies/pumpkin rolls/cheesecake etc. They are WAY over priced and I really don't want to buy any. I feel bad because everyone at work is buying stuff so I feel like I have to.
*If she sells 17 items she gets a limo ride.
*Cooper gets his first hair cut on Friday! I can't wait to see his face. haha.
*My sister and a friend want to throw me a house warming party but I feel weird about people buying me gifts since I just got married and had a wedding shower 3 1/4 years ago.
*My hours got cut at work. Temporarily.
*We had our first cookout of the year Saturday night. We had steak, guacamole/chips, baked beans, corn, and garlic bread. It was so yummy!
*The weather has been perfect all weekend. Upper 70's!
*The high for Wednesday is in the mid 40's and rain. yuck.

Replaced with a monster!

So who took my sweet little girl and replaced her with a monster? Jacelyn has always been my laid back, go with the flow child. A lot like me. She will usually take no for an answer. Talks back only if she just heard her big sister talk back. She doesn't throw fits or temper tantrums near as much as her big sister did at this age. It's very easy to change her mind or talk her out of something that she wants, that I don't want her to have. Carlie is my whining, temper throwing, talking back, wont' stop till she gets what she wants child. Lately, however, Jacelyn has turned into a MONSTER! A sneaky monster at that. She does things when I'm not looking.
Last Sunday night was the first time I noticed this massive change.

Case in point #1:I had put her into the bathtub. She was all done except rinsing her hair. Carlie was searching for her shin guards because the first day of soccer practice was the next day. Carlie's room is right next to the bathroom so I decided to run in there and help her look really quick. Before you flame me for leaving my child unattended in the bathtub, I was talking to her the whole time so I knew she wasn't under water. About 5.8 seconds later, I heard a *SPLASH*. I walked into the bathroom and it was FLOODED! I am no exaggerating when I say this but there was at least 2 inches of water standing on the bathroom floor. She must have used several cup fulls of water to make this accomplishment!

Case #2: I stupidly left a bottle of nail polish on the end table in the living room Friday night. The last time I left nail polish out was when Carlie painted her finger and toe nails one morning before school while I was getting ready. Saturday morning, Carlie comes running to me saying that Jacelyn had gotten nail polish all over the couch! We now have about a 2x2 area of bright pink polish on the arm of our semi new couch. *Anyone that knows how to get nail polish out of a cream colored micro suede couch would be greatly appreciated right about now*

Case #3: Carlie left her cup of milk from breakfast Sunday morning on the table. Jacelyn grabbed it and just poured it onto the kitchen floor. She didn't trip and spill it or anything that you might be thinking. She just decided that the floor needed a drink I guess.

Case #4: I was making chicken/spinach/alfredo quesadilla's last night. I had all of the ingredients on our "peninsula". (It's not an island because the end of it is connected to a wall). She was on one side of it and grabbed the bag of mozzarella cheese and started to eat it all. She was squatting down where I couldn't see her and even got Carlie over there with her. The bag was half gone when I found them. And yes, Carlie did get in trouble for being an assesory to the crime.
